SharePoint Designer and InfoPath are legacy tools that support workflow automation and digital form development. They were used by many organizations to digitize and automate various business processes within the SharePoint platform.  

If your company has critical business functionality being maintained by these tools, re-engineering these solutions should become a priority. The last version of both tools were released in 2013. Mainstream support for SharePoint Designer officially ended in April 2017, and in July 2026, all support for InfoPath Form Services will end.
